Finished in Torch Red over a Jet Black 3LZ interior, this 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 represents an extensively developed four-digit-horsepower C7 build combining a Magnuson 2650 supercharger system, heavily upgraded LT4 top end, comprehensive fueling and cooling systems, reinforced drivetrain, premium forged wheels, and extensive carbon fiber bodywork. From the factory, the Z06 features Chevrolet's supercharged 6.2-liter LT4 V8 paired in this example with the highly desirable 7-speed manual transmission with Active Rev Matching.

This example was exceptionally well equipped from the factory with the 3LZ Preferred Equipment Group, Z07 Performance Package, Competition Sport Bucket Seats, and Carbon Flash Painted Ground Effects Package. The 3LZ specification adds an extensively leather-trimmed cabin with a Sueded Microfiber-Wrapped Upper Interior Trim Package, while the Z07 package further enhances the Z06's track-focused chassis. Its original factory specification resulted in an MSRP of $110,445.

At the center of the build is a Magnuson 2650 supercharger upgraded with a THPSI billet 2650 lid and 103mm inlet snout. A Soler Performance 107mm throttle body and Roto-Fab 5-inch Big Gulp intake provide additional airflow, while a DSX 9.25-inch lower pulley, 80mm upper pulley, idler bracket system, and Gates Green belt complete the upgraded supercharger drive configuration.

The LT4 top end has received substantial development with Frankenstein Stage 2 ported cylinder heads, Frankenstein titanium valves and .700 springs, and a Cam Motion Stage 4 232/250 camshaft. Supporting valvetrain and engine hardware includes a CHE trunnion upgrade, ARP head studs, Katech Gen 5 LT4 AFM Delete Valley Cover, VVT phaser lock block, DSX aluminum valve covers, and ATI harmonic damper. Iridium spark plugs gapped to .028 and ACCEL Extreme 9000 plug wires provide additional ignition support.

Fuel delivery is comprehensively upgraded with a DSX low-side fuel system and AEM 400 pump feeding a DSX Atlas port injection system with dedicated plates and Injector Dynamics 1050cc injectors. A DSX flex-fuel system provides additional fueling versatility, while an Alky dual-injection methanol system with dual M15 nozzles and DSX dual widebands provide further support and monitoring for the high-output combination.

Cooling has received equally extensive attention. A DeWitts 70mm HP Series radiator, C7 Corvette 19-inch brushless electric fan, heat exchanger, and dedicated oil cooler provide substantially upgraded thermal management. A Cordes Performance expansion tank, 160-degree thermostat, and LaSilva aluminum thermostat cover complete the cooling package, while a dual Mighty Mouse C7 Z06 Wild catch can system provides upgraded crankcase ventilation.

Exhaust flow is handled through American Racing 2-inch full headers and X-pipe feeding a Corsa 2.75-inch Xtreme axle-back exhaust with quad Black tips. The combination provides a substantially more aggressive exhaust character while supporting the airflow requirements of the modified LT4.

The drivetrain has been reinforced with a McLeod 1200X dual-plate clutch kit to support the substantially increased output. An MGW short throw shifter and Black shift knob with White H-pattern provide a shorter and more direct interface with the 7-speed manual transmission.

The Corvette rides on premium 19-inch Signature SV309 forged three-piece wheels finished in Gloss Black. The forged wheel setup complements the Torch Red exterior and extensive exposed-carbon treatment while providing an appropriately high-end fitment for the level of the overall build.

Exterior modifications are extensive, highlighted by a Top Flight Automotive carbon fiber roof, R Style carbon fiber front splitter, carbon fiber fender vents, OEM Style carbon fiber side skirts, EOS carbon fiber rear quarter intake vents, carbon fiber spoiler with wicker bill, APR Style V2 carbon fiber rear diffuser, and carbon fiber quarter extensions. Dual Anderson Composites hood vents and an ACS Composite hood heat extractor kit further transform the hood while providing additional heat extraction for the high-output supercharged combination.

Inside, a custom carbon fiber and leather steering wheel creates a more performance-focused driver interface, while a P3 vent gauge provides additional vehicle monitoring. Carbon fiber wrapped interior trim carries the exterior carbon theme into the 3LZ cabin.

Professionally dyno tuned by THETA Motorsports, the completed combination produces an impressive 1,045 wheel horsepower and 808 lb-ft of torque.
