Finished in Tarmac Black over a Black Alcantara RECARO interior, this 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX MR combines the legendary performance of Mitsubishi's turbocharged 4G63 platform with an extensive collection of engine, turbocharger, fueling, drivetrain, and suspension upgrades. Originally producing 286 horsepower and 289 lb-ft of torque, the 2.0-liter MIVEC turbocharged four-cylinder is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission and Mitsubishi's advanced all-wheel-drive system.

This example features the desirable factory Appearance Package, MR Package, and Zero Lift Kit, adding Diamond Black BBS forged wheels, Red seat stitching, a color-keyed vortex generator, and additional aerodynamic enhancements. Factory performance equipment includes Bilstein suspension, Brembo brakes, front and rear limited-slip differentials, and lightweight aluminum body panels.

The centerpiece of the build is a Forced Performance FP Green turbocharger paired with Cosworth M2 272-degree camshafts, Supertech valve springs and retainers, upgraded cylinder head bolts, and Buschur Racing ignition coils. Additional airflow enhancements include a ported throttle body, SwainTech-coated exhaust manifold, ETS 3-inch front-mount intercooler, MAP intercooler piping, and Turbosmart Race Port blow-off valve.

The exhaust system features a Buschur Racing 3-inch downpipe, MAP O2 eliminator, and custom 3-inch exhaust with dual Burns stainless steel mufflers. Fueling and engine management have been upgraded with Injector Dynamics 1000cc injectors, a Perrin fuel rail, STM fuel pressure regulator, and AEM EMS Series 2 standalone ECU, professionally calibrated by Mellon Tuning.

The drivetrain has been enhanced with a Competition Clutch and lightweight flywheel, supported by Torque Solution engine and transmission mounts. A Whiteline rear sway bar provides additional chassis enhancement while retaining the Evo MR's performance-focused suspension architecture.

Inside, the factory Alcantara RECARO cabin is complemented by additional engine monitoring through an AEM air-fuel ratio gauge and GlowShift boost, oil pressure, water temperature, and oil temperature gauges. Upgraded door speakers provide an additional audio enhancement, while half front-end paint protection film helps preserve the Tarmac Black exterior.
