This 2004 Subaru WRX STI finished in Java Black Pearl represents a classic enthusiast build centered around proven turbocharged performance and driver-focused upgrades. Powered by Subaru’s legendary turbocharged BOXER engine paired to a 6-speed manual transmission and Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system, this STI has been upgraded with a combination of airflow, fueling, and drivetrain enhancements designed to improve both power and reliability.

Performance modifications are centered around a COBB 20G turbocharger supported by upgraded injectors, a Walbro fuel pump, Perrin turbo inlet, HKS equal length headers, and a custom dyno calibration producing approximately 365 wheel horsepower. Additional upgrades including the Cylinder 4 cooling modification, TurboXS hybrid blow off valve, and K&N intake help improve reliability, airflow, and overall drivability.

The drivetrain has been strengthened with an Exedy Stage 2 clutch and lightweight flywheel package, while subtle additions such as wheel spacers, COBB radiator shroud, and upgraded audio components complete the build. The result is a well-balanced street-focused STI that retains the iconic character of the GD chassis while benefiting from carefully selected performance upgrades.
