COBB Carbon Fiber Alternator Cover

Finished in Crystal White Pearl over a Black Ultrasuede and Leather interior, this 2020 Subaru WRX STI combines the unmistakable character of Subaru's turbocharged performance sedan with a comprehensive collection of COBB performance hardware, adjustable suspension, premium three-piece wheels, and extensive exterior enhancements. Power comes from Subaru's turbocharged 2.5-liter BOXER engine producing 310 horsepower, paired exclusively with a 6-speed manual transmission and Subaru's performance-oriented all-wheel-drive system.

This example was particularly well equipped from the factory with the $2,250 RECARO Performance Design Heated Front Seat option, featuring an 8-way power driver's seat and STI detailing. It was also ordered with the STI Short Throw Shifter Package, LED upgraded map and dome lighting, and an Auto-Dimming Mirror with Compass and HomeLink. Its original factory specification resulted in an MSRP of $41,273.

Performance modifications are centered around a collection of premium COBB components. A COBB Redline carbon fiber intake and COBB silicone turbo inlet enhance the induction side of the turbocharged EJ257, while a Mishimoto intercooler with a Vibrant Performance elbow coupler upgrades the charge-air system. A GFB Hybrid blow off valve adds additional turbo character, while an IAG oil catch can provides additional crankcase ventilation support.

A COBB V3 Accessport provides engine management and monitoring capability, while a COBB cat-back exhaust gives the STI a substantially more aggressive exhaust character while maintaining a premium enthusiast-focused configuration. The engine bay is further detailed with a COBB carbon fiber alternator cover, complementing the Redline carbon fiber intake.

The chassis has been upgraded with ISC N1 V2 Track coilovers, providing adjustable ride height and a more performance-oriented suspension configuration. The lowered stance is complemented by one of the visual centerpieces of the build: a set of 18-inch Work Meister S1 three-piece wheels featuring Blue centers with polished lips. The custom Work wheel setup provides a distinctive contrast against the Crystal White Pearl exterior and gives the STI a considerably more aggressive appearance.

The exterior incorporates a combination of OEM STI and aftermarket components. An OEM STI front lip and OEM STI side skirts retain a factory-inspired foundation, while MSP VR Style carbon fiber side skirt caps, Rexpeed V2 carbon fiber fender shrouds, carbon fiber mirror caps, and fender inserts introduce additional exposed-carbon detailing throughout the body.
A Gloss Black V1 center diffuser further enhances the rear appearance, while a roof spoiler adds another performance-inspired detail above the factory STI wing. Together with the three-piece Work Meisters and lowered suspension, these components create a cohesive exterior transformation without losing the recognizable character of the STI platform.

Inside, the factory RECARO Performance Design heated front seats provide a major highlight, combining Black Ultrasuede, leather bolsters, Red stitching, and STI detailing. The factory STI Short Throw Shifter Package further complements the 6-speed manual transmission and reinforces the driver-focused character of the cabin.

With over $26,000 invested, this WRX STI combines premium COBB intake and exhaust hardware, upgraded intercooling, adjustable ISC track-oriented suspension, distinctive 18-inch three-piece Work Meister S1 wheels, extensive carbon fiber and OEM STI exterior styling, and a desirable factory RECARO interior. Built upon an already enthusiast-focused 6-speed manual STI platform, the combination of Crystal White Pearl, Blue-centered Work wheels, aggressive fitment, and carefully selected performance components creates a distinctive and cohesive Subaru performance build.
