Powered by Toyota's proven 4.0L V6 producing 270 horsepower and paired with a 5-speed automatic transmission and part-time four-wheel drive, the TRD Off-Road comes equipped from the factory with a locking rear differential, Multi-Terrain Select, Crawl Control, Active TRAC, skid plates, and Hill-Start Assist Control. This example was also equipped with roof rack cross bars, all-weather floor liners and cargo tray, wheel locks, and an exhaust tip, resulting in an original MSRP of $38,399.

The suspension has been extensively upgraded with King 2.5 front coilovers with remote reservoirs, Total Chaos upper control arms, Front Range Off-Road Fabrication adjustable lower control arm links, an EimKeith panhard correction kit, DuroBumps front and rear bump stops, ToyTec 2-inch bump stop extensions, and Metal Tech 4x4 extended braided brake lines. The suspension package supports an aggressive set of 17x9 -38 Stealth Custom Series F5 wheels finished in Matte Gunmetal wrapped in massive 37x12.50R17 Maxxis Razr MT tires. Extensive fabrication including an Alpine Designs Offroad body mount relocation kit and Cougar House Garage firewall tub provides the additional clearance necessary for the 37-inch tire setup.

Trail capability has been dramatically enhanced with a C4 Fabrication hybrid front bumper with hoop and a Nguyen Works rear bumper featuring an integrated swing-out, fold-down table, Hi-Lift mount, and bottle opener. Greenlane Offroad aluminum armor includes a skid plate, rock sliders, ladder, and full-size roof rack, while RCI Offroad lower control arm, rear differential, and gas tank skids provide additional underbody protection. Recovery equipment includes a Warn Industries winch fairlead, Hi-Lift jack, and yellow recovery shackles, creating a well-equipped platform for demanding backcountry use.

A comprehensive lighting and electronics package adds both trail functionality and modern convenience. Baja Designs equipment includes an S8 30-inch amber light bar, XL Sport amber lights, Squadron Pro amber bumper lights, and Squadron Pro amber ditch lights, complemented by AlphaRex LUXX headlights, amber DRLs, Raptor lights, and extensive LED lighting upgrades.
