Powered by the iconic turbocharged 2.0-liter 4G63 MIVEC engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission and Mitsubishi's advanced all-wheel-drive system with Active Center Differential, the Evolution IX has earned its reputation as one of the most capable and tuner-friendly performance platforms ever produced. This Evolution has been professionally built around the renowned 4G63 platform with an extensive collection of premium engine and supporting modifications. At the heart of the build is a Forced Performance HTA Green turbocharger complemented by GSC S2 camshafts, a SuperTech dual valve spring package, Exedy twin-disc clutch, upgraded intake and intercooler piping, and Forced Performance oiling components. Boost control is handled through a Greddy Profec-B electronic controller and Greddy Type-R blow-off valve, while a complete progressive methanol injection system featuring a Labonte Motorsports fail-safe controller provides additional fueling support and engine protection.

Professionally calibrated on the dyno, the car produces an impressive 416 wheel horsepower and 418 lb-ft of torque on the high-boost calibration, with a second 315 wheel horsepower and 326 lb-ft of torque low-boost map for comfortable street driving.

Handling and braking have been upgraded with RaceComp Engineering lowering springs, zinc-plated drilled and slotted brake rotors, and StopTech performance brake pads, improving both confidence and stopping performance. Completing the exterior is a lightweight set of 18-inch Volk Racing CE28N-Plus wheels finished in gold, an iconic combination that perfectly complements the Evolution IX's aggressive factory styling while reducing unsprung weight.

Inside, the cabin has been enhanced with a complete DEFI gauge package monitoring boost, oil pressure, and oil temperature, along with an AEM wideband gauge and AutoMeter gauge pod for accurate engine monitoring. A Sony Bluetooth head unit adds modern connectivity while maintaining the driver-focused nature of the interior.
